This article is trying to make a big issue out of something small.

Macdonald spoke with several immigrants who were employed to work on winter property and helped with the upkeep of Dobbs' horses at stables in Vermont and Florida. "I looked after Dobbs' horses while I was illegal," said one man. Another worker said that he believed Hillary Dobbs knew they didn't have papers. (The workers did not give their real names for fear of deportation.)

Lou Dobbs, champion of the blue-collar middle class. Owner of various "properties" across the country used exclusively during different seasons of the year, which included stables of horses kept up by peasants servants illegal immigrants.

How anyone falls for these media jackasses at this point is beyond me.

Why are you criticizing Lou Dobbs for not saying "Papers, Please" ?

20 million illegals in the country... they have to be working somewhere.

Lou Dobbs was just creating Jobs and stimulating the economy... he should be rewarded a corporate tax credit and social program exemptions!

What is so small about some asshole railing about illegal immigration employing undocumented workers? I hope his big, fat, rich, hypocritical ass gets a lot more pressure from it.

Why are you criticizing Lou Dobbs for not saying "Papers, Please" ?

It might have something to do with the fact Dobbs has been running around calling for papers and hiring people with no papers.

Lou Dobbs is married (http://www.aztlan.net/dobbs_married_to_mexican.htm) to a Mexican if you think he's a racist or something.

Who said anything about racist. I said he is an asshole hypocrite who is out screaming to penalize employers who do not ask for papers while simultaneously hiring undocumented workers.

I've been using the same farrier for years who happens to be Mexican. When I first met him I asked him: "Do you have a green card?" He answered: "Yes, you wanna see it?" I told him no, that his word was good enough. He could be lying to me, I dunno. He could have a fake one, I dunno. Sure would look bad for me considering I'm a minuteman and was a member of the executive council for the MCDC California Chapter for a couple years.........will I ask him for it? NO, I won't. Just sayin....

If I had a business - it'd be a different story. I'd have to ask for green cards, and in that case, I would.

If it turned out the person you hired was revealed to be undocumented in the media how would you react? Would you take the Dobbs I ain't sayin shit approach or something different?

Business has nothing to do with it. You are an employer.

An employer of my farrier? Wrong. He owns his own farrier business and I am a customer.

If that is in fact the case I stand corrected but I got the impression you do not know if he is exercising a state privilege (operating a business) or you are his employer because he is undocumented and unable to obtain a state privilege.

I expect you would and if Dobbs was openly talking about it he might not be viewed as an asshole hypocrite, just a hypocrite.

I live near the border and have my entire life, in all four border states. It's not hard for illegal Mexicans to start businesses here at all. BofA doesn't even ask for a SS# to open an account - unless of course English is your first language and you look white - but I digress.

The big difference here is if you are going to rail about something you ought to be willing to discuss... inconsistencies. You are. One would think Dobbs is smart enough to get that.

I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for now. Dobbs was the only man in the media who was willing to take on the govt's intentions to merge us with Canada and Mexico. He did many stories on the Trans-Texas Corridor, the SPP, and that villainous POS Robert Pastor.

Tu quoque fallacy.

Too bad the sheep fall for it.

Not all uses of tu quoque arguments involve logical fallacy. One convenient and not fallacious way [to use tu quoque] is by pointing out the similarities between the activity of the criticizer and the activity about which he is being questioned.
