But it's DeMint's fault:

DeMint was present at the Greater Freedom Rally in South Carolina, and during his speech on the support of pro-life and 'traditional marriage,' he "said if someone is openly homosexual, they shouldn't be teaching in the classroom and he holds the same position on an unmarried woman who's sleeping with her boyfriend — she shouldn't be in the classroom."

Who cares what he thinks? He's repulsed by homosexuals for whatever reason, which is probably religion based. To each his own. I don't mind homosexuals as long as they aren't afforded "super citizen" rights (i.e. ridiculous hate crime language we've seen) and their lifestyle isn't pushed on young school children. With that said, I'd vote for Demint for a heartbeat, because I'm deeply concerned about the size of the government. I'm not going to lose sleep over his hangup for gays.

It's not just a personal hangup with gays that he stated privately, he is a powerful U.S Senator and he issued this statement at a political rally and this should be terrifying to anyone who believes in liberty. I've been saying this for a long time, but I absolutely despise Jim Demint. He's good on the Fed and that is it. He's an absolute asshole social conservative, warmongering idiot that somehow is the new poster-boy for "conservativism." Well if he is a conservative and the new face of the liberty movement, then count me out.

I would vote for Alvin Greene in a heartbeat over Demint.
