The less-remembered component of race, religion, or creed. Displaying hatred towards an individual due to their beliefs, or believing the superiority of a collective due to the type of beliefs held by that group, or presuming someone to have certain characteristics due to the presence of a belief or tenet is the same sick form of hatred as racism.

It is a form of intolerance that the MSDNC crowd is apt to throw around rampantly.

This has the potential to be a useful rhetorical tool.

The main reason is this: the Alinsky rhetorical style calls for openly mocking your opposition, and, in fact, disparaging names based on beliefs are the norm in such a crowd, "tenther" "birther", etc.

This is a word whose time has come.
