Summary for involuntary dial-up users?

Edit: James, I'm reading a libertarian forum on a Saturday night with dial up internet. I believe I deserve a damn break!

I am going to a Biden and Mark Dayton rally Tuesday morning. Although we do not have a YAL group, this might be a good idea to cook up...

Luckily, I also found out there will be two gubernatorial debates on my campus. That is full of win.

It's so simple but so effective because it uses establishment tactics (lining everyone up) against itself! I love it! Best damn video and campaign tactic Ive seen in a while. THIS IS HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT WHEN OBAMA AND HIS ASSOCIATES (R or D) COMES TO YOUR TOWN!!!

(its also why electioneering at a poll place is prohibited)

I think if this was done differently at conservative gatherings it would probably get better results, since it would be asking people to change their minds in a less drastic manner.

Example:

Person thinks Obama is 95% awesome.

Gets fake program that says Obama is 100% epic fail

Throws fake program on ground because they're unable to consider the thought they have been 95% wrong about Obama

Person thinks Glenn Beck or Shawn Hannity is 95% awesome.

Gets fake program that says Glenn Beck or Shawn Hannity are fiscally generally right in their rhetoric, but wrong often on things such as monetary policy, foreign policy, and civil liberties.

Person considers that maybe Beck or Hannity aren't actually much smarter than they themselves are, and considers changing their opinion about monetary policy, foreign policy, and civil liberties.

It would just be more effective to go after the people that are closer to libertarianism I think. But maybe I'm wrong in thinking conservatives are closer to libertarianism than liberals??? I often wonder if I feel that way just because I'm from a conservative area and grew up with conservatives...

Nonsense! Entire post.

Liberals AND conservatives hold libertarian views both. It's just a matter of getting all to understand how they interconnect. And when you put it into plain english like that handout did it cuts through the platitudes that politicians have mastered.

It looks like it worked well, because the delivery was subtle. People are going to read it and go "huh?" Hopefully they'll think. It didn't say "WARMONGER" "COMMUNIST" or 'KENYAN."

Much more effective infiltration than Tyler I'm A Rand Fan.

Yeah I think you're right. Its just hard for me to relate to the democrat/ liberal/ left rhetoric at all, and find any shred of libertarianism in the people that love to use those labels.

But I know libertarians that grew up around the liberal/ democrat/ left side of things feel like the people that use those labels are closer to libertarianism than people that call themselves republicans/ conservatives/ the right.

And I know conservatives love the state just as much as liberals do.

I just have to keep reminding myself one "side" is as bad as the other since its all trivial nonsense to begin with, and therefore each relates to libertarianism as well as the other because there's no difference in these supposed "sides."

The only real difference in political views is if you support the state, or support freedom.
