Big prizes, great exposure, nothing to lose, everything to gain!
Grand Prize US$5000!!
This video competition is hosted yearly by C-Span, which btw is not a government run or funded organization. It's funded and sponsored by Cable Networks, and is the real link to our ability to see the day to day goings on in our gov't.
It's for middle and high school aged kids. You make a 5-10 min documentary type video on the general topic they provide, and you must show both sides of the issue you choose within that general topic. You must include some C-Span footage in the video. The rules, etc. are on the site.
This year's topic is - get this - "“Washington, DC - Through My Lens”
Tell us about an issue, event, or topic that helped you better understand the role of the federal government in your life or community. " Ha!
Come on, RPF'ers - do this! It'd be awesome to see some real good small-gov't conservative videos win and place in this competition!!!
Let us at RPF know if you submit one!
(Disclosure: I am in no way affiliated with C-Span, Studentcam, or anything like that -- I just watch and love C-Span and think this competition is da bomb.)
