The 50-year-old former weatherman for WILL-TV and, before that, WCIA-TV, is among the latest in a growing list of white men in town being slugged for sport by young black men. (Earlier reports indicated a slang term of "polar bear hunting" for these attacks, but police officials say that term is not evident in the recent attacks.)

The attacks seem to have been concentrated on campus during August but lately have been spreading across Champaign and have even included young white boys in city parks.

Can't say I've ever been there, but there are parts of NOLA, and Africa for that matter, that a punch to the head would be the best possible outcome.

There are places that, to wander into alone, white and unarmed, almost guarantees you will be shot before the night is over.

Welcome to the difference between being a minority and a majority. Whites are a majority - a majority that has controlled this country, its lawmaking, and its law enforcement since day one - and by that fact simply don't have standing to whine about being discriminated against, period.
