The Nevada US Senate debate is coming up, and the moderator is accepting questions to the candidates on Youtube. I submitted a question asking whether or not either candidate will support a full and transparent audit of the Fed. Please help me out by voting up my comment so both are asked about auditing the Fed live on TV! See link below. My question is under "The Economy" when you click "Vote" on the top left, and is posted under the name "Mike Hanson, Reno, NV".
Thanks for the help!

Sharron Angle (http://sharronangle.com/septembertoremember/) supports a "comprehensive audit" of the Federal Reserve.

:D:D:D

CBS News: (http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20011581-503544.html)

Angle also called for auditing the Federal Reserve and liquidating Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Las Vegas Sun: (http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2010/apr/28/how-theyd-fix-not-fix-wall-street/)

Angle instead ticked off a list of talking points from her stump speech — calling for an audit of the Federal Reserve, abolishing the IRS code and eliminating Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae.

Wow, thanks everyone for voting! Let's hope my question makes it. I would love to share with everyone Reid's answer/reaction to the question. It is time Reid will have to answer to the peple why he will not support transparency! The people of Nevada are starting to realize he is not on our side. I think this question will wake more people up to Reid's BS.

It tells you something when so-called principled liberals back a crook like Harry Reid. Conversely, I for one would love to see McConnell, Alexander or Graham go away, even at the expense of the seat. So they're clearly obsessed with party retention at any cost.

I voted for your question, but remember that an audit of the Fed passed in the Senate on a 96-0 vote. Harry Reid voted to audit the Fed so I wouldn't expect him to stumble on this question. The problem with that audit is that it is a one time audit and I'm sure he won't mention that detail in his response.

The problem with the audit that passed is that it only sheds light on the financial institutions that received help from the Fed from programs such as the TALF after the financial crisis. It is not a full and transparent audit of the Fed like HR 1207 and S 604 would have been.

You are right. I forgot that monetary deliberations are not audited.

By the way, Reuters released a special report today exposing the fact that market moving information is "leaked" by Fed officials to members of the investment community willing to pay for the information.

Wow, thanks for the link!

And yes, remember how Bernie Sanders sold out and came to a compromise with the Fed lobbyists in the Senate by throwing the majority of S 604 in the trash? Right when we all thought Sanders was on our side regarding this issue...

Only problem is the THE FED Audit is coming... it's a one time Audit of the Bernie Sanders S.1604 watered-down version audit stuck into the Dodd-Frank Financial Reform Act that recently past in CONgress. It's a one time audit, but Harry Reid will use this as his answer.

Maybe a more appropriate question to ask, "Why is the Federal Reserve made up of private international banking corporations and why has the Federal government allowed secrecy of such private central bankers, who have induced the hidden tax of inflation on the nation for the past 97 years?

OR

Ask maybe ask a question to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, "Since you have confirmed in the past, in relation to the Federal Reserve Act, which you stated, "that the Income Tax is Voluntary". So why does the government continue to force us to give more and more the fruits of our labors and earnings to a government?

from the Reuters article linked above -
"Too often, the Federal Reserve believes that rules do not apply to them," said Sherman at Salient Partners. "If we allow some to have access, then how are we different than those that follow 'crony capitalism' in the Third World?"

Yeah, I saw that! What a pointless question. It seems like the majority of the questions are coming from outside Nevada. Hopefully that helps in getting mine asked, since I am actually a constituent.
