The tension between Fox News and its most controversial personality, Glenn Beck, has been talked about for months in media circles, but until now Roger Ailes has been thought to be at the forefront of Beck’s defenders.
When Howard Kurtz of the Washington Post gave the criticism (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/03/14/AR2010031402312.html) of Beck from within Fox its most public airing in March, the head of Fox News reportedly responded by telling his staff to stop “shooting in the tent.”
