It looks like the house of cards is finally going to come crumbling down on one of South Dakota's most prominent political figures. The charge is complicity in graft and violation of the RICO statutes, and if this suit has legs, it could quite conceivably spoil Thune's Presidential aspirations.

Not meaning to give negativity to the post, but....

Means is a fuckwad if you know anyone in the American Indian Movement. In line with Jesse Jackson or Sharpton. He's in it for his own gain.

Goof... I hope for Russel Means to win (just to beat the state), but these establishment tyrants will pass some law exonerating themselves from any liability for life.

Wanta read a bunch of propaganda bullshit on Senator Thunes website? Check yet another 9/11 excuse for military growth and expansion.

We need more expansion for B1-B bombers to attack those terrorists!

The Federal establishment inside the DC beltway is using every Nazi gimmick to increase the state.

Yeah, I've heard a few people in the liberty movement say that. I have to admit that I don't know Russell personally and can't vouch for him other than to say I like seeing him stick it to the man occasionally. But I do still love his idea for a Republic of Lakotah, even though it doesn't seem to be picking up any steam.

Thanks for the post FrankRep. I'll look into that. My knowledge is from living with a native American group. In no way would I consider them leninist/marxists. They simply felt that he had went the way of jesse/sharpton. Telling for me was that the spiritual leaders of the movement distanced themselves from him.
I don't know I'll read about it when I get the time. There are other things on the plate right now.

If they want to be an independent country, let them. You're being pretty hypocritical if you won't tolerate an independent Lakota nation but you criticize Israel over the Palestinian issue.

More to the Story...

6. Adding to this need for caution is the fact that Means is calling for secession of the Lakota Indians from the United States and has appealed to that great collectivist assembly of totalitarianism, the UN, for moral, legal, and possibly physical assistance. He has asked for a seat in the General Assembly. While any freedom-seeking person with common sense would be working to get the U.S. out of the U.N., Means is working to get out of the U.S. and into the U.N.

This is the reason we did not jump on the Russell Means bandwagon. He may not be a Marxist/Leninist, but he still appears to be promoting the strategy of so-called national liberation, and he is seeking to align himself with the U.N., arguably the worst bunch of dictators and despots the world has ever known. I don’t see how anything good can come out of that, certainly not for the Lakota Indians.

Yeah, so what? The Palestinians and every other independence movement want seats at the UN too.
