Concealed carry FTW! Will he be fired for defending himself like other Pizza Hut employees in the past?

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are continuing the search Tuesday afternoon for a suspect wanted in connection with an attempted restaurant robbery Monday night in which two other suspects were shot to death by an employee.

Police have only a limited description of the man who got away -- a man who might have been wounded by the Pizza Hut employee who killed the suspect's two cohorts.

The robbery was reported about 11:15 p.m. at the Pizza Hut in the 5400 block of East Independence Boulevard, near Idlewild Road. Police say two employees were in the rear of the restaurant, cleaning up for the night, when three men walked in the front door. The employees told police at least two of the suspects were carrying handguns.

The suspects ordered the two employees into the cooler, and for some reason, at least one of the suspects began beating a Pizza Hut employee.

CMPD Sgt. Gerard Farley said the other employee pulled out his own handgun and began shooting.

concealed carry ftw most definitely! When I worked for dominos it was policy to fire any employee who carried a weapon. I was robbed twice, once at gunpoint and the other with a knife. Almost robbed a third time, but I learned how to spot them.

Better to be fired than to be carried away in a rubber bag.

better to quit.

That's what I would do if I found my self in that situation. Before they could fire me, I would tell them I quit.

How much money could there possibly be in a pizza hut? You gonna risk going down for armed robbery then go big.

Thats pretty funny. I can't say I would disagree with him being fired if thats the company policy. As Ron Paul says, I believe in [civil] disobedience but one must also be ready to accept the consequences.

Perhaps a gun themed pizzeria is in order. Pistol Pizza and Gun Range.

Shoot guns
Play Skee Ball
Eat pizza

It can't fail.

A pizza delivery man was recently stabbed to death in Omaha. Most pizza companies do not allow drivers to carry a weapon. Sad....

I worked at dominos also for a time, about thirteen years ago or so. It was policy to hand everything over, not resist, and definitely NOT carry any weapon. So I didn't. I was never robbed. But then, I'm 6'8" and 320 pounds. A petite female coworker WAS robbed one night when I was working there. It's too bad she couldn't have been carrying my Glock that night.

Gee, boss, sorry you don't approve. I was thinking less of the corporation's liability than our lives. Won't happen again. At least, not here...

Innocent until proven guilty. And I don't mind that the media keeps reminding us of that--many people were tried in the court of public opinion over the centuries, and a great, great many of them were innocent as newborns.

Appleseed ROCKS. I went to my first this past April and can't wait to go back. In fact, I'm stocking up on supplies! I got a brand new Marlin 795 last weekend (on sale for $99 after rebate!) and just an hour ago ordered a brand new cotton USGI web sling from the Appleseed online store for $14 shipped.
