i skimmed real quick and didnt see where they wanted 200 mil$.

but we probably spend that much in an hour for our military to be there, so i dont see how its a bad deal.

You know. If you stop shooting at them, they will stop being fighters.
Get Out.

well, the 200$ mil would help to consul our unnecessary invasion. kind of like break up sex, to help ease the transition out of the relationship.

but yeah, i get what you mean.

The taliban have been doing that since the Bush administration. Reports were, that the Bush administration declined because the first lady, "doesn't like how you treat your women".

hmm... give $200m to the Taliban... and suitcase nukes for what $50-100m on the black market? Sounds like a wise idea.

Petraeus was referring to the twin-track programme of reconciliation and reintegration, sponsored by the Western allies with a 200-million-dollar trust fund to help pay local Afghan communities to bring fighters in from the cold.

If you don't get the "gun buy back" reference then I suggest you research it and see the minimal effect it has had.

The smaller groups will come in, pledge allegiance, get paid then keep on keeping on. Talk about "trust fund kids." LOL.

Edit: Isn't it against the law to give money to terrorists?

Maybe China?

Yeah, that's it. We can contract with China to provide the troops to invade Iran! And we can borrow the money to "buy" the invasion troops from, uh .... oh, yeah.... China. D'OH!

That is probably not an idea you should be putting out there for anyone . :)
