As we gear up for the next campaign battle it is imperative to reflect and focus on strategies that have either proven highly successful or have the potential to be very powerful for our side. I have always found that direct quotes have the power to totally decimate an opponent and luckily enough for us, the most likely GOP candidates against Ron have a history of putting their foot in their mouths and revealing their true devilish selves.

I recently ran into a Newt fan who was very excited to hear he was highly considering running for President. He described Newt as a strong fiscal conservative who possessed an unshakeable integrity and a character befitting our founders. Needless to say I was all too happy to point out the flaw in this belief. He shrugged this off as the ramblings of a Ron Paul fanatic and held firm to that belief until I sent him several direct quotes by Newt.

So the idea here is to gather direct quotes which show the true character of Newt Gingrich. By doing so, we will have a one stop, quick access tool through which we can expose our opposition on social networking sites, e-mails, phone calls, letters, reciting by memory, etc.

If this proves to be a valuable tool than I will put together quote threads for all other announced and/or potential candidates. So go ahead and post any quotes made by Newty which show his true nature or otherwise cast him in a negative light. I will go first:

“The idea that a congressman would be tainted by accepting money from private industry or private sources is essentially a socialist argument.” - Newt Gingrich

I love this concept: I think the quotes should be sourced though.
