This coming week, Ron Paul will be in Manhattan again at the Comedy Central studio. The following is lifted from Eventful.com:

"Meet Ron Paul at a Rally to support Dr. Paul during the taping of The Colbert Report

Bring your friends and signs to make Dr. Paul feel welcome!

1 p.m. Line forms for tickets to get inside

5:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. RALLY

Dr. Paul will be there shortly after 5 p.m. and after they finish taping (probably around 7 p.m.

Lets go to a local bar/restaurant afterwards"

Let's try to shock the media with a mega turnout. I will be there even if I have to skip my finance class!

Get your meet up group to organize every member to be there with friends, family, and signs. I see they already have a meetup scheduled for this event, that's great!

If you haven't joined the NY meetup group yet, check out http://ronpaul.meetup.com/50/?gj=sj10 and join!

My friend and film critic Dean Treadway just moved to Brooklyn. He came over a few weeks back to begin his goodbyes and I showed him a clip of the first debates. His jaw dropped to the floor in thirty seconds. I showed him a few more and he became a fanatic. He has his whole family on Rons team now..He is heading down to Manhattan as I write this to get in line for the show.

Best

What do you think Colbert is going to ask him? Is Colbert going to play the part of Neo-Con or Conservative?

it would be really cool to see colbert come out of character and sincerly tell his viewers to vote RP in 08.

I don't see him coming out of character... but sometimes i have seen him lose character for short periods of time while interviewing someone. But it would be great if he got a colbert challenge or endorsement.

CAKochenash

yeah i dont see him coming out of character either but your right, it would be cool to see him do a challenge along the lines of make you own video showing how ur supporting rp and send it in. He could do it like he did with the green screen challenge.

I imagine that Colbert will "blast" him for being against the Iraq War, tell him he is in the wrong party, then hopefully Paul can talk about some of his other policies besides foreign policy.

Does he bring up the Rudy debate incident? How about ferrets? How do you feel about ferrets? Cross-dressing?
Yeh, Colbert can act like he's a big rudy supporter?

I was reading a post on here a few days ago of someone suggesting Colbert would say something like..."Why do you hate America?" -or- "Why do you love terrorist so much?"

hahahahha i love it

yeah, that was me. i think colbert and paul are going to have a field day with each other.

i'd love for colbert to cover paul's conservative credentials then ask him why he's betrayed the republican party. this should be fun tonight.

'You support abolishing the IRS, how can you call yourself a Republican?'

This makes me think...."Geez, this alone would cause someone to want to harm Dr. Paul, with all the money that would be lost in the tax industry"...

I'm really excited. I hope that Colbert gives Paul challenging questions and lots of time to talk and expose people to Ron Paul's message of freedom. :)

He must be in Electron Paul mode for the colbert report, so he is going to fast for people to catch him on camera.:)

Or at least thats my theory.

He had to practically run out of the building because he had a train to catch- I had my camera set to a fast shutter speed but obviously not fast enough! I figure we could play around with it and turn the blur into a cool effect!

He's part of the new series "Time to talk to a presidential candidate... who will talk to me."

Sounded like he was going to he receptive, but the caption while he said it read "Tear down this Paul."

I just finished watching Dr. Paul on the Colbert Report.
Besides being a great Constitutionalist leader let’s add to his attributes:
Great sport.
Funny, satirical and witty.
With a lampooning, dry and self-deprecating sense of humor.
How can you not love this man?
