His play is satire. That is how he points out (what he feels) the hypocrisies in the system. Hearings are just an act. Everyone else is disingenuous and talks through their teeth. Why shouldn't he?

i hear you, i just wondered what background he has to offer anything to this debate at a hearing on record!!! seems it only made a circus out of a circus! does colbert head up some non-profit or something along immigration lines????
