I'm guessing it'll be in Bowling Green again, no?

Didn't get to make the last one, but I think my schedule is much more accomodating and, well, this is the general election! :)

As a practical matter it is unlikely, but I won't say 'no' yet, because I like the idea too much....

IF YOU ARE COMING TO THE PARTY...

Please come in a few days early to help the campaign out.

Also on the day of the primary the venue was exceptionally crowded with lots of space outdoors. Since it'll be November there is a good chance that everyone will be confined inside due to the weather making it that much more crowded inside. So in other words please if you are going to come to the party, please also show up at least a day or two early to contribute your time and effort to the campaign. If you can come in even a week or two earlier that would be better.

If you want to volunteer please PM me and I'll send you the contact information for the VC.

Unlikely.. I'll probably be down in NC helping out Lawson and Gunny.

Are you implying that they are going to host it at the country club again?

Why not?

He gets that space for free.

You're not a fiscal conservative, or something?

Seconded. Please don't host the victory rally at a country club again.

It's not about disregarding the media because they will make a big deal out of it.

It's all the people that read the articles and are tired of the high and mighty politicians.

Yeah, but that is bullshit. All the world was invited by web page, facebook and twitter. There is NO way you can turn that into 'exclusive'.

I've seriously considered making the trek from Texas, but the airfare is just too high and it's too far to drive by myself....

Natalie, if you're driving, I'll gladly kick-in with some gas and good conversation!

Politicians should be marked by their votes and nothing else, I don't care if Rand punches a baby as soon as he wins as long has he votes correctly.

It is 6 years until he has to vote again and it is likely that largest venue that can be booked in Bowling Green (that isn't on campus, so we can open carry/drink)

Where is the closest and/or best hotel for the event? I may try and make it up.

Just Google for "Bowling Green, KY Hotels" using Google Maps. There are a bunch of them.

The Holiday Inn and Hilton are nice, a bit pricey though. If you are coming in to volunteer check with the campaign, I think they have a discount on some extended stay places in town (with a kitchen).

How about a street address or the name of the venue where it will be held? I would like to get something close by if possible and if several of us stay at the same hotel we could split cab fare to and/or fro.

I probably won't get to Bowling Green before 5 o'clock if I even come so I can't commit to helping with anything before. I will happily help with any cleanup though if it is needed.

Bowling Green is a small town. Anywhere you go, cab fare won't be much.

Does anyone even know where the event will be held? We're getting awfully close, shouldn't this already be planned?

I hope everyone has a good time!

Ron is going to be having a Ron/Rand victory party with an onsite link to Rand's party. I have the details on another thread.

Is it 6pm Central? I ask because that's technically the timezone Bowling Green is in and I'm in Louisville where it's Eastern time. I might be able to make it if it's 6pm CT! I have an errand I have to run for the campaign around 6pm ET.

Pretty sure it is Central. Besides that, it will go on all night... we got home at 5AM last time. :)

Ahhh. I'm debating on driving and staying in BG or just driving back at night (with a stop in Lville if I'm tired).

I'm guessing there will be festivities afterwards? ;)
