Well, I think today is the day the Tea Party dies. RIP Tea Party: 2/19/09-9/23/10. (And this doesn't include RP's December 2007 moneybomb).

Now that these Tea party "leaders" are throwing their support for this pledge, I think the Tea Party movement will be co-opted. We all feared this would happen, but we thought it would be with Mitt Romney becoming president, but all these passionate Tea Party supporters who hated Obama's spending may simply assimilate into the GOP of John Boner and Eric Cantor, falsely thinking they will solve our problems, especially with their favorite demagogues supporting this pledge.

Then some other issue will distract them (terrorism or war) and we'll be back to neoconservatism as usual

I hope I am resoundingly wrong, but this shit has happened too many times already.

Church doesn't. Mega-doesn't.

Redstate doesn't.

We don't.

But a lot of the red team players are lining up, without a clue what's going on.

That's why it's our duty to scream at the TOP OF OUR LUNGS that this whole thing is a farce. Write blogs, send out viral e-mails, create YouTubes, post comments, write letters to the editor, etc and let all of the Tea Partiers, Glenn Beck, 912 crowd know why they should not support this.

If we don't explain it to them, no one will!

We need to point out that this pledge has no plan whatsoever to BALANCE the BUDGET or stop the debt.

We need to drill it into people's heads. The debt, the budget, the deficit, we are sick of this shit.

problem is the 9/12 people like to be told what to think..they'd rather hear it from a plastic FAUX news reporter than try to comprehend that Newt Gingrich could be lying to them
