Public Policy Polling (PPP) has Prop 19 up 9 points, 47-38. Survey USA has us up 5 points, 47-42.

Of particular note, voters under the age of 45 are expected to turn out in higher numbers in California than other states. This is likely because of the excitement throughout the state over Prop 19. According to PPP, among these younger voters, we're up 20 points, 54-34.

If you're in CA, try to get out the youth vote any way you can. We have no real horses there besides John Dennis, so Prop 19 is priority one.

*sigh* although nothing in prop 19 talks mentions legality, and imo is a corporate money grab, maybe the world will see it as "legalization" and follow suit with real legaliztion.

Ya it's really more of a statement than anything. The underground market will continue to thrive because the underground market will be producing a superior, untaxed product.

It should be legal, we have lost our minds locking people up, attacking them and killing them just because they want to consume a plant. It is almost the definition of insane.

The first time i ever smoked I got so stoned I was hallucinating like crazy and I was sure I was going to have some semblance of a hangover the next morning.. ate the best tasting brownie of my life that night (not a pot brownie, just a regular one), had the best salsa flavored chips of my life, then had the best sleep of my life, woke up feeling energized and REALLY good the next morning.

For someone who had only consumed alcohol before, and been quite hungover on a couple of occasions, I was completely blown away.

I wonder if employers in CA will still prohibit Marijuana use if it gets legalized.

Well it is the insurance companies that require it, not the employer.. So I would say yes.. but then again there may be some policies that don't test for cannabis in, say, office employees, whereas they might test a driver or a heavy equipment operator.
