Not sure if this has been posted before, but the Republican party has some new pledge:

Perhaps the authors of this Pledge to America should point out where "honoring traditional marriage" (3:51 of the video) is listed as a legitimate function of government in our founding documents. If they sincerely want a limited federal government that operates within the confines of its constitutional powers, then they need to stop using legislation to advance morality and social conservatism or run the risk of being called out as blatantly hypocritical.

This is just the Republican Establishment attempting to maintain the political power they're beginning to lose to the Freedom / Tea Party movements. It's laughable that they want to return to 2008 spending, because that was part of the major problem (bailouts?). This is just a way of covering their own asses and attempting to lay blame of all the massive spending onto Obama.
