How do you ensure that Congress doesn't reject Ron Paul's proposals?

I wouldn't really care, he could veto everything they pass anyway. Most of the bills congress passes need to be vetoed. Plus he could bring home the troops.

The reality of it is that congress has given the executive branch so much power that he could probably do a lot through executive orders.

How Does Congress Override a Presidential Veto? (http://www.wisegeek.com/how-does-congress-override-a-presidential-veto.htm)

When the POTUS uses a presidential veto, this does not necessarily mean that a bill can’t become a law. The US Constitution did give Congress a means to sign a bill into law after a presidential veto has occurred. In order to overturn a presidential veto, both houses in Congress must vote to approve the bill by a two-thirds majority.

I do know this, but the neocons and the Marxists/Socialists cannot agree on anything to get 2/3 majority.

The Neocons and Marxists will unite together to take out Ron Paul.

You're right, that would be the one thing they could agree on.

I voted option 1 but would be open to option 3 if the gop fails to nominate a small government candidate!! odds are if they do not nominate Ron Paul 2012 in the gop. They will not nominate a small gov candidate!!

Delegates, delegates, delegates... perhaps the most important element to Ron's 2012 run. We can give him the nomination if we take over the delegation. On top of that, we can choose the entire GOP platform.

Luckily, the POTUS is commander-in-chief of the military, so at very least a President Paul could end the wars and prevent new ones during his tenure.
