Some on right want Lisa Murkowski punished

Senior Republicans don’t appear to be weighing further sanctions against Sen. Lisa Murkowski between now and November, but some are fearing that her attempt to retain her seat by waging a write-in campaign could imperil their party’s control of Alaska’s Senate seat.
“I’m disappointed,” Senate Minority Whip Jon Kyl (R-Ariz.) said Monday of Murkowski’s decision to stay in the race despite losing the GOP primary last month. “I understand her disappointment about not winning the Republican nomination. But to the extent that it could make it more likely that the Republican vote is split and therefore a Democrat would more likely win the seat, that’s bothersome.”
“Punishment politics doesn’t go very far,” Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said Monday in the Capitol.
