I have downloaded the Adobe Dreamweaver Developer Toolbox that says it's for making membership-based database driven web applications which sounds very much like what I am making so I guess that I'm one step closer.

keep your development going, show some proof of concept and maybe some people will chip in to help you get this project done :)

Proof of concept? The only way to really show what this website will do is to build it and see what happens. I feel very strongly that I have created an innovative website that will work extremely well for this community, but the problem for me is that programmers seem to only understand that which has been done already. One of my friends attributes all this to some sort of left brain/right brain phenomenon.
