View Full Version : Did Bush ever address the anti-war movement?

I seem to remember nothing but silence from Bush towards his protesters.

But Obama seems to love to call out "the tea party movement" by name just about every day.

Am I remembering things right?

This thread has no point.

Bush didn't call out anti-war protesters, but I remember him often addressing them in interviews with the media.

Bush met with Cindy Sheehan. I remember that.

I actually think he called out Code Pink in his State of The Union address.

The lesson from this is the government will always use the fringe groups of society such as Code Pink, as a means to portray themselves as more reasonable, although their actions are hardly such. Code Pink was used extensively to marginalize the majority of antiwar left.

No different than what the media is doing today trying to conflate a few crazies with the average Joe tea partier.
