The Republican Establishment is fighting some of the Tea Party choices like O'Donnell and Rand Paul. They welcomed Rubio with wide open arms. Why do you suppose that is?

Uhm, because they realize they can buy off Rubio? Whereas with Paul, they have experience dealing with his father and are afraid he will be like him?

Although from what I have seen, the GOP establishment has rallied around Paul as well, once he won the nomination.

Research Rubio and The Aspen Institute. And then look at who funds the Aspen Institute. Just sayin' :(

Rubio is just more conservative fiscally. All the rest is pretty standard GOP establishment.

Mitch's approval ratings went from being the most popular politician in the state, with an unquestioned fiefdom, to upside down after the primary, with his drop being amongst CONSERVATIVES, his own primary base. Plus he needs to show the tea party he will back their candidate as he promised he would if Rand won, to get any loyalty anywhere tea party candidates didn't win. He wants that wave in November. And look at the Haley B. comment thread as well. Rand winning big woudl be an extra plus.

Rand is in a good position - he's running for an already Republican seat in the Minority Leader's own state. The GOP establishment would look very bad if Rand loses.

After the Rand Paul event we attended last night, my wife said all the republicans are getting on the "RandWagon". LOL! Did she coin a new phrase?

Rubio is a teocon who will be co-opted and will assimilate into the GOP establishment, back to business as usual.

Rubio is a fraud fiscal conservative who believes defense spending should be off limits to any cuts and he fully supports the neocon foreign policy.
