I honestly think that now Ron's supporters have succeeded at getting him on comedy central, I think it's time he gets on another big venue where there are a lot of diastisfied certerists with libertarian leaningings: the Howard Stern Show. Stern has ran as a libertarian, a producer of the show (Benji) voted for Badnarik last election, and because the show is literally put together by a bunch of interns in a haphazard fashion, if we apply pressure to Howard Stern like we did to the Daily Show, he can get on.

The audience is about 5 million mostly anti-war Republicans. This is the sort of mainstream audience Ron needs to speak to.

So, we can apply pressure by doing the following:

1. You can call 1-888-9-ASSHOLE (1-888-927-7465) Monday through Thursday and ask Stern on his thoughts concerning an anti-war Republican.

2. Email SternShow@HowardStern.com non-stop asking them to interview Ron.

3. If anyone wants to get creative and mail material or whatever, here's the address:

The Howard Stern Show
c/o Tracey Millman
Sirius Satellite Radio
1221 Avenue of the Americas
New York, NY 10020

Paul may be the 5 million dollar man and getting onto cable. If he get's on Stern, he'll be catapulted into a major frontrunner.

Agreed there is an audiance that would support Ron Paul but is it wise to associate with likes of mindless gutter talk and nude women(which are great) which might turn off more than 5 million people.

It doesn't really matter - it's not like Christian Conservatives are listening to Howard Stern. And what ever happened to preaching to the unwashed heathens? We should make this our goal!

I think it would be a bad idea. Howard Stern is vile and it could hurt RP's vote among the paleo-conservatives. I really doubt a Christian man such as RP would ever do it.

People have been saying that for years, but Stern still has a huge following, and as long as he does not say anything lude (which he won't) it won't hurt him. If anything, appearing on a slew of liberal tv shows may hurt him with conservatives.

I mean, even George Pataki and 1998 went on the show. Stern's list of guests aren't all porn stars: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_celebrity_guests_on_the_Howard_Stern_show

It could only help.

Stern's on satellite radio, so you're right 100%.

Stern is a doable goal (Jay Leno or Letterman may be more difficult.) Stern would give Paul more name recognition so that he can go on even bigger and more legitimate shows.

I say let's get cracking. I already sent an email, but we need this to go viral like the daily show.

No way. Ron Paul is such a clean guy I squirmed watching a picture of Larry Flynt appear on the same episode of "The Daily Show that RP was on.

RP on Howard makes my skin crawl.

I wouldn't trust Howard Stern for a second. He is a shock jock looking for ratings points - you don't know what he would try to pull.

I think Dr. Paul is smart enough to handle any interview that he's on in his normal kind-hearted way. Let's be honest, Stern's biggest issue is abolishing the FCC--something that I'm sure Paul would do. Plus, we're not exactly going after the conservatives--they don't like Paul's stance on the war and this is where it ends. Paul's campaign is gonna grow by reaching independents, liberals and libertarians. And, if any paleo-conservative is turned off by his appearrance on a show with cussing and lesbians, then they aren't very principled then are they? So, I sent my request

I'll fight to the death for your right to be entertained by cussing lesbians on Sybian machines, but I won't promote it. Sorry.

You're mistaken. I haven't heard his show ever, just know what he's about. I listen to Free Talk Live only

It is schisms like this that are going to ruin any chance we got. We need to unite our efforts. If Ron Paul thinks it's a bad idea, he will politely decline. Trust his judgment. Our job is to help get him these opportunities if he wishes to take them.

Being that Ron Paul has no skeletons in the closet like most politicians, any publicity he has is good (I mean, even his 911 comments helped him.) Stern did not hurt Pataki either, or governor Christine Whitman, who used to go on the show all the time.

The Stern fanbase is the sort of demographic which will help Paul win the election.

Absolutely not! It doesn't matter if the Christian Conservatives don't watch or listen to the show. They'll hear about it. And personally I just can't see Ron Paul doing it. I thought the Daily Show was pushing it when I saw it's vulgarity.

And I don't even know why the Daily Show has to be crude. Jon Stewart is really funny. He doesn't need the vulgar comments and swear words to be popular. But I guess the producers say what goes.

I agree, I think too many people have a holier than thou attitude when it comes to Stern, ignoring the fact that the man has millions of obscenely devoted listeners who eat out of his hand. To not at least try to get Ron Paul the opportunity to get on the show would be at his campaign's peril.

As I said before:

Let Ron Paul make the decision. E-mail Stern to have Dr. Paul on.

I personally would love to see him do it. The people who wouldn't vote for Ron Paul simply because he appeared on Howard Stern wouldn't vote for him anyway. Stern would give Paul a lot of exposure. If Stern approves of Paul's message, that means a lot of positive exposure.

I love Howard Stern's show, and Ron appearing on it would only endear him to me even more, but I can understand why it might hurt his campaign in a country as culturally uptight as the U.S. We still have a ways to go, people.

I think the Stern show is the perfect place for RP to appear. I've listened to Howard for years and his politics are definitely Libertarian. He is the master of the in-depth, long-form interview. This would be an opportunity for RP to get his ideas out there and be given the time to explain where he is coming from in detail - none of this 5 minute daily show/colbert report junk.

As far as tarnishing his image or his standing as a conservative - Arnold Schwazenegger, NY Senator Al D'Amato, and NJ Governor Christine Todd Whitman have all appeared on the show multiple times. If anything, appearing on Howard helped them more than it hurt them. Governor Whitman even credited Howard with helping her get elected.

send email to sternshow@howardstern.com and let them know you want to hear Ron Paul.

The Art of Politics is to bring people together, it's not to be divisive...You have to bring coalitions together, there's no doubt about it.., Ron Paul, May 19, 2007 Austin, TX Fundraiser..

We are trying to get Dr. Paul elected Pres. That means he gets more votes than the opposition. We need every vote we can get. Anyone wanting to "exclude" voters need to take up another hobby, you aren't needed in a campaign wanting to win an election !!! Not trying to be mean, just wanting to WIN!!! It was reported that Stern supporters had kept the kid that sang off-key on this years American Idol for weeks by bloc voting. (For all that think the show is SINFUL because of it's content, I have never watched the show, just saw this report, please don't JUDGE me.-lol). I also have never listened to Stern's program, but understand he is the "KING" of shock jocks with libertarian leanings.

I sincerely request that you not only ask that Howard have him on the show, but that you request that Howard "adopt" the RP campaign and get RP the Republican nomination. NO JOKING, here friends. If he can sway the voting on the most popular TV show in the nation, he can make a HUGH difference in a primary race. Our 10-12 warmongering opponents will split their votes, we get almost all the anti-war vote cast on the Republican side.

As for all the Christians that read this, don't get MAD. Do GET Dr. Paul on all the Christian TV networks and on the most popular Christian radio shows. We need the Christian vote if we are going to win this race. We also need the Stern Show people's vote to WIN.

Read RP's statement above again. Not (/) division, but (+) ADDITION. The math that (=) equals a WIN (#1)...
PEACE...

Guys, I think Ron Paul should go on only IF Howard Stern Show aggressively pursues to have him on. We don't need to beg the likes of his show staff to get him on. Let THEM come to us.

Going on Howard is a great idea, maybe a telephone interview is best. Howard would be nice to Dr. Paul since they share many of the same political views. I don't think any true Ron Paul supporter would abandon him for reaching out to all voters.

HEYOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHH!!!:)

Down the Orwellian "memory hole people." We really need a youtube video out there if anyone can make it. This way, it won't be taken down. This worked for the Daily Show.
