The thimerisol- autism link has been disproven. Its use in vaccines for children in this country was halted around 2001 and in some European countries in the early to mid 1990s. Since then, autism rates have continued to increase as they did before it was discontinued. If it was a cause or contributor to autism, it should have gone down but it did not. This raises a second point. Even if you do have concerns about the mercury in thimerisol- IT IS NOT IN CHILDHOOD VACCINES ANYWAYS! A child is exposed to ZERO mercury from their childhood vaccines.

In the most recent case where a family was awarded $1.5 million, the child was determined to have a rare genetic condition which about three in one thousand have. The regression which occured after receiving her vaccinations can also occur in people with the defect from simply getting exposed to a virus so even if this person had not been vaccinated, they would have most likely had the same results the first time they got sick.
