Good key terms:

"Smaller government" or "Constitutional government" when speaking on the size of government. All Republicans agree the Federal government is too big.

"Cut spending, cut taxes" speak on how both go hand in hand. That republicans under Bush cut taxes (a good thing), but DOUBLED spending.

"No nation building", "why do we still have troops in Germany protecting us from the Soviets?" rather than "imperialism" or our "empire", this is one beef I have with Ron Paul, he turns people off when he says those things. Republicans think America is great, we could never be imperialistic or an empire in their eyes. Stick with ideas they would agree with.

When speaking about Foreign Aid, mention how our aid props up dictators like Musharaff in Pakistan, and encourages corruption in Africa... avoid citing Taiwan or Israel (they are un-necessary hot buttons. If they agree with you on Musharaff and African corruption, they will more more likely to agree on Taiwan and Israel later on.

Do not force feed people, small spoonfuls at a time.

If you want to tug at the heartstrings of neo-cons; tell them that we provide more funding to arab nations than to israel. Tell them Israel would be far better off if we just cut off all aid to everyone in the middle east. (Cutting funding off to arab nations alone would surely incite more hatred towards us; so it's only logical to cut funding across the board)
