I looked and looked, but I didn't see any threads talking about this issue.

Houston has discovered voter fraud.

Volunteers at True the Vote first found it. Thank you guys.
http://www.truethevote.org/

I had talked with someone from that organization and she told me that the numbers are higher than what was first reported. We're talking around 20,000 fraudulent voters registered just this year alone.

Add to that later a fire at where the electronic voter machines were kept, and there ladies and gentlemen we find trouble.

True the Vote found cases such as 50 people registered for a single residency.

This is in Rep. Sheila Jackson's district by the way.

Thought everyone should know. To uphold our republic, EVERYONE must follow the rules: 1 citizen, 1 vote. I would have been just as disappointed if this happened in a GOP district. This just isn't right.

I heard Harris County need poll watchers and some alternate election judges still. Anyone interested has to go through the right channels.

Any other thoughts on how we can help? This could happen in ANYONE'S home state.

Sometimes people get hired to gather petition signatures and register voters and they get paid by the registration or signature. To get more, sometimes they will just make them up or get a copy of the phone book and write names down from it. Makes a headache for the registrars who have to go through all the names and try to verify them but the person got their money and is gone.

Coincidence or conspiracy? I would bet the farm on the latter. Why is the question though.

When my father is County Clerk of Harris County (Houston); I can assure you we'll have someone fighting hard to prevent shit like this.

Wow! Just wow!

Is this enough to change the winners?

I seriously doubt it. I'm fairly certain stuff like this happens all the time. From what I"ve been told; they've already secured plenty more voting machines and there will be plenty to go around. I would argue that organizations like this do this to confuse / back up the voter registrar system to somehow reduce their ability to detect fraud.

82,000 votes and problems with around 3200 votes is a big problem.

Was it swept under the rug?

None of the boilerplate talk show radio people in Houston have been talking about it.

Is this published anywhere? I didn't see it mentioned in the reports linked.

Is it just not massive enough?

This is probably just the tip of the iceberg if they start digging deeper.

Maybe now they will start picking this up on other stations?

Citizens' Group Helps Uncover Alleged Rampant Voter Fraud in Houston (Sept 25, 2010)

"Among the findings were that only 1,793 of the 25,000 registrations the group submitted appeared to be valid. The other registrations included one of a woman who registered six times in the same day; registrations of non-citizens; so many applications from one Houston Voters collector in one day that it was deemed to be beyond human capability; and 1,597 registrations that named the same person multiple times, often with different signatures."

This probably happens all over the country.
