Local groups were organized back in 2007/8 through meetup.

Which would be better to organize through, meetup or CFL?

Or should we come up with a better organizing site for 2012?

CFL can't be used for campaigns. Use the Meetups.

meetup is cool, seemed to work

I do think that there needs to be structure to the madness though.

1. door knocking - this should be developed so people have scripts, street sheets and how to record responses.

2. calling - this should be developed as well with a call script with record keeping as well.

3. mailers - this ISN'T very cheap and it is always better to do a face to face however if a local group can locate cheap mailers then this COULD be beneficial as well.

4. district coord training - I think the person running the meetup should have some form of training to understand how to effectively "move the troops" so to speak.

A lot of meetups gpt started late in the campaign season. I think more meetup groups should organize and travel to Iowa or New Hampshire.

Due to facebook's data mining / lack of privacy, a bunch of liberty types don't like facebook. I don't, and only have an account to see what my kids put out. I don't use it for other things. Many liberty types are still on facebook but MANY who quit facebook are liberty types.

Elwar, I am thinking your on the right track with what you are thinking. I hope I can set aside some time to reach out to you this weekend.

Actually, a platform like Wildfire could be used by the campaign.. Truth is, people will be using all of the above (with the exception of C4L, which will likely be put on the shelf for 2011-2012).

Yeah, but we need stuff for SUPPORTERS to use, not just the campaign. Remember the crappy commercials.

Except that FB seems to be really clamping down on promotional stuff :mad::mad::mad:

I've been trying to promote the Rand MoneyBomb to several different RP groups and it keeps saying that my posts and messages "are spammy":mad::mad:

It's unreliable and pisses me off.
