I've heard about this several times now. Don't the police have dashcams that record YOU without consent? This makes no sense.

I like to carry around an old red and black Diana toy 35mm camera with me. It takes better photos than those digital ones. I take photos of any dam thing I want in public. I used to use one of those holga key chain micro cameras, but since they stop making 110 film, its getting to be a pain to fine and order it on the internet.
