Doesn't matter. They'll just go to different sites or another section of that one, and continue on. This is just another misaimed overreaction that will do nothing to solve or help solve the problem.

What problem? There's a problem with people voluntarily exchanging services for currency?

This will most definitely increase the type of activities they are trying to get rid of. Craigslist set up that section of the site so they could keep an eye on it and actually review submissions. Deleting those that appeared to be offering something illegal. The volume of ads they get makes it impossible for them to review all ads.

Effectively they were pressured into putting on a blindfold.

Anyone with a computer can find plenty of other sites offering the same ads.

Why hassle Craig's list when this stuff is available elsewhere?

It's a really good bet that most of the AG's have political ambitions for higher office, so the obvious answer is why politicians do stupid stuff like this. So they can brag about "DOING SOMETHING" about the "problem" while actually making the problem worse.

Sounds like a market niche just opened up if craigslist discontinues this service.
