if anybody nearby is free on Wednesday and Thursday, we need massive help distributing 800 targeted handouts for Friday's event in Roanoke Rapids. We can make this a great success, but only if we can get help distributing this literature far and wide. We need as many warm bodies as we can possibly get to take a list of African Americans in Roanoke rapids and hang these handouts on mailboxes, doorknobs, etc.

Gah! Those are my busiest days!

I understand that. We were supposed to have 2 full weeks to do this, but every one of the 5 venues we selected, EACH waited 4-5 days to come back and say, "EEEK! NO POLITICS HERE!" So we only had the venue pinned down Monday morning. :(

Now we have Kevin Daniels confirmed, and maybe even Lenny McAllister coming, and if we don't get the word out it'll be a flop...

There's no way Gunny. :( With at least two weeks warning then maybe. Damn job!

I'll give it a bump and a suggestion though.

Don't just look to those in the Liberty camp online. I'd target churches. If you can convince the pastor, minister, etc. they have hundreds of names at their disposal.

Youth leagues, community centers and civic organizations.

With such limited time I would try a top-down approach.

BUMP!

need help more than ever. we have a HUGE guest speaker coming in Lenny McAllister. It will really really suck if we only have 5 people show up....

We dropped 350 yesterday. Stuffed from 1PM (Had to pick the Lenny McAllister lit up from printer at noon) to 3PM. Got the Roanoke Rapids at 5PM and drop until after dark.

Back again today. I could not take off work as early today but will be leaving here in 10 and drive 2 hours to get to Roanoke Rapids and help Glen and Montana Rose with the lit drop.

Great response yesterday. Hope to have to room so packed, we have to turn people away.

Have laptop will travel. We will keep you all informed about the event and the GunnyBomb!

We dropped about 300 tonight. Just got home. I am taking off tomorrow so I will drop more lit for about 3 or 4 hours then come back, change and go to the "Bridging the Gap" in Roanoke Rapids.

What a day!

hurt. all. over. lol

it was just the three of us both days. so I think 600-650 was pretty good. the response was overwhelmingly positive, so we may get better than the standard 10%

That would be great to have them "standing in the aisles":D

I am off to do some more lit drops. I will be out of pocket for about 4 hours. Hope we can keep promoting the GunnyBomb. I will update all upon my return!
