Financial transaction taxes are nothing new, especially in foreign countries.

And they may be part of our American way of life soon.
Here is a 1% financial transaction tax that is being presented.

And, although the VAT seems to be on the back burner for now. The politicians may be waiting until after Nov elections before it or the 1% transaction tax is revived.

Can you imagine paying 6% to 9 % state sales tax....a national 10% VAT Tax and a1% financial transaction tax?
