In other news, slimy politicians are slimy.

Not surprised to see the WS pissing all over an "anti establishment" candidate, even if those anti establishment creds are weak.

It isn't just the WSJ. The RNC is fucking (pardon my French) around in the primaries, where they have no business fucking around.

This is simple. The Weekly Standard doesn't like her, we should support her. No other issue is relevant.

I dunno, she sounds pretty sh*tty in that article. And suing for millions because she thought she was demoted for her gender? Yeah, I'm not a fan of the CRA or people that use it to extort their employers.

If it's even true. We know how last minute stories come out right before election days...never to be heard again, because they are completely false.

I find it a bit hard to believe that they forged her signature and created a completely false court filing to apply it to and backdate it.

They've got the court filing here:

Sure, maybe there is more to the story, but as it is.....it doesn't make her seem like somebody I would support.

The next story will be that a "white nationalist" donated to her...

You know something we don't know?

Besides, thats apples vs. oranges. A unsavory donor is not something she can be expected to control and it is not an action she is responsible for. The court filing is 100% her responsibility and actions. Hell, she even filed it pro se.

Just what they have used against some other candidates. Can't remember exactly who...

You have a candidate endorsed by DeMint and attacked by The Weekly Standard. Take your pick.

Yes, sorry. If the Kristol wing of the party doesn't like her, there must be some redeeming qualities in her platform.

theres noting a source and wondering if the story benefits their cause and then there is attacking the messenger and citing conspiracy to try and deflect uncomfortable truths.

6.9 million??

And there's such a thing as a group (messenger) who has zero credibility.

That would be a pretty complex plot. And if they really forged her signature wouldn't she be suing and screaming from the rooftops that she is being lied about?

Seems would be pretty easy to prove.

You can say they have an agenda in digging this up (they do). But outright making up lies would not make sense from a cost/benefit perspective. This could take them down completely if they are lying. Why risk that?

This one of those races where I just don't have a dog in the hunt. Castle is an uber-RINO, and O'Donnell looks like a huge opportunist to me. Mark Levin has been pushing her like crazy on his show, so you know who she'll be listening to if she got in the Senate.

They get away with it all the time. They get called out on it sometimes (ask Dan Rather). Of course most of the time they aren't lying in the "legal" sense, just spinning, slanting, selectively picking their facts, timing the stories for maximum effect, retracting stories where no one will ever see it, etc...

Yeah, it's another lesser of two evils. We have the old neo-cons v.s the new neo-cons (neo-neo-cons?). Same foreign policy, but the noobie-neos pay lip service to the Constitution and smaller government. Like any politician, actions speak louder than words, and you won't know where they really stand until they have some actual history.

brian- you don't sound like you are very interested in the truth, just trying to deflect speculation on your candidate of choice.

Nope. I could really care less about her. The story makes her sound like a scammer (if it's true). I am pointing out that you can't trust the media, especially The Weekly Standard.

"She is a conservative Catholic[1] known for her vocal opposition to abortion, pornography, and extramarital sex.[10][12] In the 1990s, she argued on MTV against encouraging masturbation as a safe sexual outlet.[16]"

That's enough of a reason for me to never support her.

Probably why DeMint is supporting her...
