I noted Thursday that it would be a huge mistake to support a Tea Party candidate over popular RINO Senate candidate Mike Castle in blue state Delaware.

I said at the time that I knew nothing of Christine O'Donnell. Now that I know something about Christine O'Donnell, it's much worse than I thought. It turns out O'Donnell, unlike Yale-educated lawyer, former judge, and decorated combat veteran Joe Miller, has done nothing of note in her life other than be a Republican party insider and talking head. But a thin resume is the least of her problems. She's a serial deadbeat and a paranoid nutjob.

I understand the frustration of Delaware primary voters with Mike Castle's establishment voting record. But Christine O'Donnell ain't the answer.

A well known anti-Rand Paul and now Conway supporter posted in support of her in comments section.

The argument against her is that she might throw the general election to the Democrats. I say it's worth the risk, because Mike Castle is no different than your average Dem anyway. I'm not fond of Christine's foreign policy views at all, but she's a wild card who could shake things up a bit.

I am in favor of Castle as of right now.

Wasn't O'Donnell the GOP's loser in the Delaware Senate race in 2008? Why would anyone want to nominate the same loser again? To ensure both Senate seats there in democratic control?

This chick is loony. She wants to use government force to stop you from watching porn or masturbating. I would say she is less libertarian than your average socialist. I would even vote for Joe Biden over this prude any day.

I'm the blogger linked above and I'm retracting my whole anti-O'Donnell post.

I'm still no fan of Christine O'Donnell and don't think she can win the general, but this election is about throwing the bums out. Better a Democrat than a bum like Castle.

Turns out O'Donnell has a history of lying about her financial debts.

Ok. I like Christine myself and think she could win in November.
It's not going to be a good year for Democrats anywhere.

In CT, which is significantly more Liberal than DE, Blumenthal is up by less than
10. That is a race the Democrats have to worry about now. Blumenthal, even after the scandals, is still a popular figure and is extremely well known. He should not be having this much trouble this early.

Both Maine incumbent Ds in the house, are up by less than 10. One of those 2 won 70-30 last time. No scandals or anything. Neither opponent is well known.
Christine could definitely win.

Where does it say anything about government force?

I think you might be mistaken about your facts.

Because she did well against Biden, in a huge year for Biden.

Coons is not Biden
and
2010 is not 2008

Um, I don't think so. She personally opposes those things, but where does she advocate using government to stop porn or masturbation?

I think it is absurd to say she is less libertarian than a typical socialist.

What are her foreign policy views, besides "Believes terrorism is an act of war requiring the full force of our intelligence and military resources rather than granting terrorists precious Constitutional rights and outsourcing our foreign policy to the U.N."?
