Are corporate elites controlling America with the two party system?

the party system eliminates the checks and balances in the constitution. instead of the branches of government working as checks against each others powers, with the party system, the branches end up working together to increase their power.

Too many people with their hand held out looking for something for free. Never understanding that there is NO FREE RIDE! Someone is paying for the gas :(

The two parties are an illusion. Behind the scenes they work together to increase the divide between the have and the have nots.

Colonel Edward Mandell House could not of said this better:

"Masterful and arrogant wealth, created largely by Government protection of its profits, not content with its domination and influence within a single party, had sought to corrupt them both, and to that end had insinuated itself into the primaries, in order that no candidates might be nominated whose views were not in accord with theirs." (‘Colonel’ Edward Mandell House in 'Philip Dru: Administrator', circa 1912)

That is why TPTB want to get rid of candidates altogether and just have people vote for a party.

The Committee on the Constitutional System (CCS) a group created for the bicentennial and of which more than 1/3 of the directors were CFR members proposed drastic changes to the Constitution. These changes were outlined in the book: "Reforming American Government: The Bicentennial Papers of the Committee on the Constitutional System."
Here are some of the changes they proposed:
1. No longer allow Americans to vote for individual candidates. You can only vote for a party/slate of candidates. This includes eliminating Independent candidates.
2. Expand congress, The party who's nominee became president would be able to designate 1/6 of congress members and 1/3 of all Senators.
3. Lower the requirement for Senate ratification of treaties.
4. Extend Representatives terms' from 2 to 4 years.
5. Extend Senators terms' from 6 to 8 years.
6. Allow congressman to serve in the executive branch at the same time as holding their congressional seat.

Parties should be eliminated . You should run on a platform of the specifics of ideas , ideals , beliefs and principles . Let people choose who they think most closely represents them. No pensions or retirement benefits for National elected offices . Only salary and benefits while serving.

It could be a 10 party system, the results would be the same. Each party is vying for the privilege to loot their fellow man and not have to worry about the consequences. Individual succession from the looting hoard is with out a question the only check on it.

They tried removing the party label from the ballot in NC.
The justice department decided that was racist.

Who most closely represents them is themselves of course. I am my only best representative.

Just so everyone is aware , the justice department is unqualified to make ANY determinations dealing with race, color , creed .

That's why justice is supposed to be blind.

In my opinion, the system is ruining America.

Does the sun rise in the morning? I can't begin to tell you how many people agree with ron paul on 90% of the issues but continue to vote for the lesser of two evils. Political parties serve only one purpose: to divide the population and use the division to gain more power.
