We shouldn't be anti-Keynes.

We should be tolerant. Keyensians are not trying to take over the world.

Keynes books should be kept around as an example of what NOT to do.

Kensian economic texts are a dime a dozen used and the timing is perfect for a PR stunt to take advantage of the attention the Koran burning is getting. However time is very short to organize an event.

I'm for it!

If you want to capitalize on the event, how about the movement pledges to replace every book Pastor Jones burns with a new one out of respect.

I'll buy one.

Could be RPF's own thing.

I would rather pee on them. We could have a Keynesian book peeing event.

I’m afraid another group has already got the jump on that one:

----------------

Islamic group, CAIR, to hand out replacement Korans in response to Terry Jones' planned burning

An Islamic advocacy group will hand out 200,000 replacement Korans - 1,000 for each copy a controversial Florida-based pastor plans to burn on 9/11.

Bad ideas don't need to be burned. They need to be crushed with reason.

You'd be better off to read the book so you can use it as a weapon when arguing with a Keynesian. You will come across as far more credible if you say, "Keynes/Marx/Veblen/Friedman were correct when they said X, but I disagree vehemently with Y because ..."

Nobody will listen to you if you approach it like a child: "Keynes was a moron, read Hayek instead."

Remember the broken window argument. . .
We do not want to burn Keynes' works because that would artificially drive up demand.

This.

We'd have to BUY their books first, to burn them. Which would only give these morons more money.

This is insensitive! I have Keynesian neighbors, and while I may not agree with them, I support their beliefs. In fact, I give them money every month to donate to the corporation of their choice.

Burning any book, for any reason other than to keep warm, is a stupid idea. It especially makes you look stupid when you do it in protest of its contents.

Can I print out a huge version of your avatar and burn it? :D

Not sure if the "crazy" Muslims will love me or hate for it. ;)

sadly, less than $1 trillion of the economy's entire money supply is in FRNs....even if we burnt them all, the impact wouldn't be earth-shattering.

I say we reenact the scene from Office Space where they stomp all over the fax machine, and have Hayek and Mises stomp all over the General theory and set it on fire using a New York Times as kindling.

Cue the youtube, someone not on dial-up..

LOL now that is a great idea, since it is for the sake of humor and parody. Need something more smashable than a book though.
