We'll see what happens. A couple of things to consider. One is that even though people say they don't like Congress, they do like and tend to re-elect their own representatives at a pretty high rate. Second, it is typical that when one party controls all three branches as the Democrats do now, the voters do have a tendency to go the other way in the next election. They don't like either party in total control. My guess? Dems lose the House but keep the senate. The poll was a generic "what party do you like" not any particular candidates. Basically asking do you like the party in charge to still be in charge.

And about half of those that don't get re-elected are first termers - after surviving the first re-election, it just about takes dynamite to get rid of them.

And most of that turnover are flukes when the sitting critter is plagued by some sort of scandal (bribes, affairs, etc).

We all have to do our part to continue to educate people . More will be pissed when they figure out how bad they have been taken.

It's too soon to give the GOP authority again--they need to bleed for what they did during the Bush years.

the people who will get authority are mostly newcomers. they'll defund Obama's projects and we'll get gridlock or government shutdown. does it ever get any better than that? i don't think so.

I'm looking forward to GOP sweep.

I think that it will create a Democrat insurgency, Tea Party style, and I think that it will probably take an anti-war form.

Also, a Rand Paul win makes it worth it to me as well.

This is my thought as well . No more spending increases , no ignorant Unconstitutional bills being voted yes for , no more bills not being read . These new people will be aware of why they were sent there .

The GOP had better remember why they got tossed out on their asses to begin with. I am getting tired of this krap. I am glad to see the Democrats getting reamed, God knows they deserve it and they HAVE to go because they are standing in between me and my health care freedom.

It's just fucking unbelievable. Democracy does NOT work. 432 congressmen and 95% of those are kings, living off the $160,000 paychecks from the masses to do the will of their highest bidder.

Let's hope the 7-10% or more that are new can work to get some good stuff passed. I am hoping that the incumbents in office will go along with the tea party pols.
