GOP Rep. Paul Ryan: “This bill offends my principles, but I’m going to vote for this bill to preserve my principles…If we fail to do the right thing, heaven help us…We’re one month from this election. Unfortunately, a majority will have to vote for this. For me and my own conscience…I want to know that I did everything I could…As bad as this is, it could get a whole lot worse…

Yeah the RNC is settling on him for now as their rising star, regardless of lack of following. Did you see Dysche's article raking Rand over the coals for suggesting the budget needed to be balanced imminently, but in any event in less than 5 years when according to Dysche the only 'serious proposal' is Ryan's who wouldn't balance the budget until 2060?
2060!!!

which is pretty clear reason why he wouldn't balance the budget until 2060.... corporate welfare wouldn't be cut, I suspect, and I haven't looked at his foreign policy expenditures but I can guess what they look like....

He has a full head of gray hair. Not everyone is blessed to have non-gray hair past their thirties. I think anything under 50 is pretty young in Washington

I predict all three of them will end up endorsing the same Pres contender in 2011/2012.

Paul Ryan voted for the tarp bailout under Bush. Until he learns basic economics or comes clean on this I don't consider him the future of anything.

I'm guessing there's no Rand Paul because he's not a "common sense" conservative candidate...i.e. neocon.

He's the future of the past. Nothing new.
We need freedom, and young people like myself want it.....not the same old establishment.
