So what?

John runs to the left of Pelosi on gay rights. John is anti-war, anti-drug war, and pro-civil liberties. He is San Francisco perfection. He just needs to get the WORD out..

he has to really think outside the box to pull this off.

anti-war, pro-piracy, pro-gay marriage, anti-wall street.

and he could get a 2nd chance. if Pelosi wins her district, but loses the speakership by tradition she will resign. open seat, low turnout. anything could happen

Boehner was never speaker. Newt and Hasstert both left congress shortly after losing the speakership. Pelosi would no way stay on as minority leader.

California politicians don't just surrender their power grips. I don't see Pelosi resigning when she is no longer speaker. Though she should step down and let John have the seat. He's clearly a better fit.

What was Edward Kennedy's Cook PVI?:)

Massachusetts as a whole is D+12 meaning that in the last two presidential elections, Democrats got 12 percentage points more than the national average. Ron Paul's district is R+18.

D+35 is unwinnable by any republican, plain and simple. Pelosi would have to kill someone to lose her seat. 85% of voters in that district voted for Obama.

What in hell are you smoking? She would resign nothing, mark that.

Did he enter the race a long time ago?

If I would have know a Ron Paul supported candidate was running against Pelosi I would've scraped some money together to donate.

You can still do it! The election is 2 months away.

Yeah, he's been running for a long time.
