If you read comic books, this can happen to you...

Yes, that's right. You might win a Pulitzer Prize. Or, a Genius grant, like this gentleman:

or a HUGO Award, like this man:

Or *GASP* you can end up like THIS poor, sad bastard, who won THREE Hugos, 2 Nebulas, 1 World Fantasy Award, 4 Bram Stoker Awards, 9 Locus Awards, 1 British Fantasy Award, 2 British SF Awards, 4 Geffens, 1 International Horror Guild Award, 2 Mythopoeic Awards:

Moronic. A great many of the successful people that I have known were avid comic book readers as kids. Some still read a few, but invariably they are still "readers" as adults.

I agree with the lady...kids shouldn't be reading.

There's plenty on TV to watch.

Why would anyone want to read? That makes no sense.

If people read then they would probably know how to that it's spelled "lose" and not "loose."

Example: John McCain is predicted to "lose" the election, not "loose" the election.

Put down that book and pick up your remote.

Leave it to government to suck the creativity, originality, and fun out of everything it touches - even childhood.

This reminds me of the sad fate of EC comics, one of the most innovative publishers of horror, science-fiction, and suspense comics in the '50s. Some psychiatrist whose name isn't worth remembering testified at a Congressional hearing that beloved EC titles like Tales From the Crypt led to "juvenile delinquency" and lawlessness. In the end, EC was forced to shift over to bland and uninspired material, eventually folding altogether. In my humble but vehement opinion, the comic book world has never been the same since.

To my mind, some of the best scripts to come out of Hollywood over the past ten years or so, have been based on adult comics or "graphic novels".

Well , what other platorm could a Maryland democrat run on ? " I cannot wait to steal more of your money and spend it on frivolous failed social programs " ? They have been using that platform too long, it was time for something new.

I saw the most disturbing political ad in my life this week . It was that idiot congressman Grayson in Florida . It had these small children nearly worshipping him because he saved the school they go to . Creepy.
