They are attacking him for saying things are unconstitutional. Looks like he could be one of the best Senators. I don't know his stances on foreign policy though.

Hoping he wins. I also can't find anything about his foreign policy.

However, he scored 95% on the C4L survey (one problem was not wanting to withdraw from the UN) where he indicated he would not allow troops to serve without a declaration of war.

Whatever the case, he is much better than the incumbent he hopefully ousts.

From TPM:

Among Miller's views: He wants to eliminate the Department of Education, believes the government shouldn't pay for unemployment insurance and says of climate change on his campaign site that it "may not even exist." Among the more mainstream GOP positions he's taken: Miller would cut welfare; eliminate health care for the poor by scrapping Medicaid; and the Anchorage Daily News reported that he has has called for sweeping cuts to Medicare and Social Security with a goal of phasing them out entirely in favor of total privatization.
--
Miller told ABC's TopLine in July that he wants to look at the constitutionality of the government paying for unemployment benefits. He's also said he would repeal health care reform entirely, a view differing from most GOP leaders who want to just repeal the unpopular parts and keep the rest.
--
Another source who has worked in Alaska Democratic politics said Miller is "radically outside of the mainstream" and "makes Sharron Angle and Rand Paul look normal."

But it's not over yet:

All of Tuesday's votes have been counted and Miller leads Murkowski by 1,668 votes. As we've noted several times, it's possible Murkowski could still win. In 2008, Sen. Ted Stevens led Mark Begich by several thousand votes, but lost once the absentees were counted a few weeks later.

He also has a cool beard.

I'd vote for him for the beard alone. We have too many clean cut politicians in D.C. Get a few beards in there and things will be better.

I'm sure somewhere in that statement my logic is flawed, but I still we need beards in Congress.

if the tallying of the absentee ballots does not negate mr. miller's lead... we all should expect
a reinvigorated & revitalized sarah palin to be on quite a speaking tour in the next few years!

That is the most damning consequence of Miller beating Murkowski...

If his voting record matches his rhetoric, he could be pretty darn good!

Also, is that comparison above accurate? If so... was Lisa really Republican? lol

The GOP establishment doesn't seem to like him, and he has some good rhetoric on domestic issues. Those two things alone make him worthy of supporting against that loser Murkowski. I only wish I had known about him earlier so I could have sent a 20 his way.

Joe Miller would probably be the 5th best senator right behind Rand, Lee, Buck, and Angle. However, his foreign policy views could be very teo-o-conish. We'll see I guess..

Why can't anybody find out where he stands on foreign policy?
Dunno. All I can find is that he indicated he is opposed to undeclared wars and serving under the UN on his C4L survey. But this means very little.

Palin's endorsement no doubt helped. It's a good sign when he talks about returning power to the states, and phasing out entitlements altogether. Don't know too many neocons that hold that phiolosophical viewpoint.

Why can't anybody find out where he stands on foreign policy?

It is possible that he is pragmatic about it and realizes bringing up foreign policy when most voters are solely interested in the economy will only serve to alienate one of two sides that he would rather have vote for him. This is a smart move. It keeps us supporting him as well as tea-o-cons supporting him. He could be on either side, but his other campaign positions and challenging a member of his own party in a primary would have me rather have him in any event.
