This is a good one out of Philly, "the cupcake lady" got stopped and her product and truck seized b/c she didn't have the required $200 dollar permit... Inspectors came out of no where she stated...Man power + tow truck = approx 700 --- license 200 dollars...

As soon as the Cupcake Lady pulled to a stop on Market Street near 33rd at high noon, "business-compliance" enforcers and Philadelphia police pounced, confiscating her fully loaded truck.

"Three enforcement guys came out with badges blazing," said Kate Carrara aka Cupcake Lady. "Scared the crap out of me. The three cops with them were looking at me like, 'We can't believe we're doing this.'

"And I'm like, there's crack deals a block away and three cops are surrounding the Cupcake Lady? I mean, really?"

The finger-pointing raised suspicions in this reporter, who asked Carrara if, after writing a $200 check to the "City of Philadelphia" and retrieving her truck from an unmarked garage on 10th Street near Wharton, she noticed any cupcakes missing.

Messed up. We had a scandal in which the city police chief resigned over the a car impound scheme. The tow truck drivers were paid off, some of the cops and their family used the cars as needed, and the victims had to pay huge tow truck and impound fees.

Here's and example:
The reason ARCO (Atlantic Richfield Company) shut their business down in south Philly and sold off the refinery/docks was because of nonsense tax/regulations beyond any rationality. 1000's of jobs were lost and the impeding government policy of decline.

The decline of these Socialistic Cities/Societies should be an example of the so-called authorities out of control killing the economy. I hope the CupCake lady moves out of the Jurisdiction of the city taxes/enforcements.

I'll tell you what, if those Communists try pulling this stunt at Pat's or Geno's Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches... it's a "Call to Arms". ;)
