Cool, sorry for the bad treatment :) Some people out there can be a little extreme. We're pretty cool though :P

Well, I am glad you found us. If you have questions about any of Ron Paul's philosophical stances, people here can answer them.

The wonderful thing is that a lot of us don't agree with Paul on everything, but our differences are very tolerable.

Hello and welcome!

You'll find we're passionate about RP and generally pretty nice. :)

Glad to have you aboard!

Well, we, Ron Paul supporters, tend to be a little bit over zealous, but I think you now know why :)

Anyway, welcome on board, and let's help the good doctor get elected.

Its very important for us to remember that we are making a first impression for Ron Paul. They will judge him by our actions. Like it or not.

Remember that Congressman Paul spreads the freedom message. That means that people are free to disagree with us.

Welcome and Semper Fi. I was a Marine in the first Gulf War as well.

I hope to learn more and meet new people and have some ejoyable conversations and i know everyone can have different views which is a good thing which happens but i like that now threats or vulgar comments are made to one single person here, so thank you and i look forward to talking to everyone.

I understand were you are coming from and it's unfortunate, however, at the same time you must realize the importance of this effort to save America - the people who (seem to) support the war and refuse logic on this subject seem overwhelmingly brainwashed to this effort and it's hard sometimes to control emotions. Not saying it's right, but you must understand where it comes from... hmm, a little like RP's views on the current topic? It seems this logic has widespread implementation :D

That said, welcome aboard brother!

Welcome! A little lively debate builds character, eh? I respect that you were able to rise above the barrage of whatever negativity you may have been the recipient of to do what you have done. I think due to the mainstream attacks and attempt to marginalize this movement, many supporters get defensive and go on the attack when they might be more effective from a position of patience and compassion for the uninitiated.

As you're learning, this is bigger than Ron Paul. We are faced with deciding once and for all if we want to live in a representative republic under our constitution, or as a member state of a one-world global socialist empire run by unelected, ultra-wealthy and secretive tyrants. Hmmm, tough decision...

I've noticed there can be some hateful Paul supporters out there as well and I'm sorry you had to deal with that. We're trying to get the word out about being respectful and hopefully it's starting to reach some of the rude supporters.

I hope some of those people are just young and overly passionate and they'll change their tune over time. Welcome aboard though and thank you for your service :)

I may suggest that the treatment given people who say "Ron Paul can't win"..or "Ron Paul is just the same old" or any version of "I support the war" who is bereft of facts and cannot support their positions with other than talking ponts and gets a blowback blast needs to not take it personally. Do as you did and go find out why and refute if possible or accept the new knowledge for what it is... Many have written tomes about the injustices and just cannot keep rewriting the same thing over and over and over when they hear the same thing over and over and over. Now the younger ones who have been schooled in the banter of chatrooms and contentious topic boards will easily let fly lines which are tame seeming to them but to the more unitiated in the deeper hallways of the net or not used to reading wide open comment forums due to sticking with their profession or political persuasion in online exchanges willl seem like an audacious attack on them personally.

Do not take it personal. The best way to refute a net attack is to point out ad hominem and straw man gambits. These are gambits where conclusions are drawn about supposed facts merely on a fictionalised restructuring targetting mainly the other poster they want to attack. Straw man gambits set up a false premise and then hack at it like a inata in an attemot at mock victory. Neocon supporters are masters of this. The purpose of course is to diminish the alacrity of the words and reasoning of those they deem their net opponent. Hiwever..often couched in vitriol these exchanges lead to a researching into the topic at hand to get a one up from other sources and lead to revelations and new ideas being encountered and having to be digested to make a coherent reply. I think that many are experiencing cognitive dissonance when first presented with Ron Rauls philosophies and record and probably more so when their first encounters other than media low dog propaganda are ardent net supporters of the Good Doctor. I see many that chide them for what can appear to be open hostlity to those not on the freight train yet.. i would like to suggest that many of them are new to the political activism thing and do not really have enough digested to properly write short essays for those they encounter that are disinclined to do the research. They want to say something..they want to stir the kettle..damned..it has been six years of listening to the claptrap about support the troops by sending them to more war and shut your mouth or you will get death threats or mailed anthrax lookalikes.. The supporters of that ..even though they may have been ignorant..willfully or not. of the real facts on the ground, are getting blowback. It ain't pretty but that is what it is.

Ron Pauls Presidency will heal the divide and restore The Republic and an understanding of just what a Republic is as opposed to a Democracy. We have had mob rule led by the MSM and PTB here for at least the last six years. 51% of the wolves forced 49% of the sheep into war. There's democracy for ya. Long live The Republic. The Law of The Land is The Constitution. It is not merchant based Admiralty Maritime Law based on UCC.

Best
Randy

Welcome aboard Bloggershaven,
I see you are a freethinker, for in spite of the sarcasm you checked Ron out anyway.
Good for you, I agree some are too zealous and overbearing.
My son in law just got back from a year of hard time in Iraq. He needs to relearn everything he was trained for. He is a free thinker, and will come around in his own time without having Ron Paul crammed down his throat. Sorry for the treatment you got, and thank you for your service to this country.
Keep doing what you're doing, I'm pretty sure the more you know about Ron the more you will like him.
