After I made a thread entitled "POLL: Would you vote for Palin/Rand Paul 2012?", I got some responses suggesting they would only vote for this ticket if Rand was on the top. So I'm making this thread just to see where everyone on the forum stands with either ticket. For the record, I am strongly against the idea of Sarah Palin being anywhere near either of the two Paul's, should they be running for the highest office in the nation.

I might vote for it, but it would be a really stupid ticket strategically. Sarah Palin could only hurt Rand Paul if she was on the ticket.

Why would Rand pick her? I'm leaning towards no. And yes I know it's a hypothetical but his choice to pick Sarah Palin is a major deciding factor... Plus I'm already hesitate with Rand, I want to see his voting record.

Hell no, for rand to pick palin would tell me he sold out of liberty!! Palin is not acceptable! palin has no credibility or political experience!!

I'm still not convinced Rand is the genuine article like his dad is. Give me a couple years to observe his time in the Senate, and if I'm wrong, I'll be the first to eat some crow and hit the campaign trail!

palin has no political experience!!

Not that I'm a supporter of Palin, but that's no reason to not vote for her. I'd vote for the Judge in a heartbeat and he has even less experience than Palin. He has zero experience.

Just saying.

There is only one Ron Paul.

If we expect a candidate to be an exact duplicate of him, we are going to be waiting a very long time.

You think Palin did a favor by supporting Rand? She gained equal brownie points. Stop being a Palin-apologist.

Ron Paul pwns Rand Paul, Palin and the likes.

+1. Rand seems like he's a little too good of politician already. I'd like to see if he has the integrity of his father before I'd consider voting for him for president.

Sarah Palin could only hurt Rand Paul if she was on the ticket.

I wish I could be sure that you're right, but I strongly suspect you're wrong.

Since the Ron Paul run in 2012 is still on the table, polls like this are nothing more than a needless distraction. I don't think anyone here would trade a Ron run for a rand/palin anything. Stay focused.

I think we have a lot of liars here. If it was Palin/Rand vs. Obama/Biden, I doubt that anyone here would vote for Obama, and I also doubt that half would go third party. If Rand were VP, he would be set up for president down the road. Also, if Rand were elected, they could get Ron Paul on the Supreme Court.

I'd have to see what other third party candidates ended up on the ballot.

I would definitely vote Libertarian over Sarah Palin or Rand Paul or any combination of the two.
In many ways I fear Sarah Palin in the White House far more than I do Barack Obama. Also, I'm not impressed at all with Rand. Im not going to vote for him out of blind faith because I support his father.
