Lew Rockwell (http://lewrockwell.com/) stopped off at the Free Talk Live (http://www.freetalklive.com/) studios last night to give an in person 1 hour interview! He endorsed Free State Project (http://www.freestateproject.org/) and Free Keene (http://freekeene.com/) activism!

In an hour-long interview on Keene’s syndicated talk radio show, Free Talk Live, Lew called Keene “The northern capital of libertarianism” and suggested it was the “epicenter” of NH liberty activism. Lew identified himself as an “enthusiastic supporter” of the Free State Project, saying, “I definitely endorse the Free State Project”. About Keene, he said “[i] especially like what you guys are doing in Keene”, adding that activists “do amazing things here”.

The full interview can be found here (http://freetalklive.com/files/rockwell.mp3).

If you haven't signed up (http://www.freestateproject.org/join) for the Free State Project, stating your intent to move to New Hampshire when 20,000 other liberty lovers have pledged to do the same, what are you waiting for? :)

NH activists need to make sure Ron Paul can win the NH GOP primary and improve on 5% the so called live free or die state gave him, that should be your number 1 priority

I disagree. The goal of the FSP is "creation of a society in which the maximum role of government is the protection of life, liberty, and property." I would much rather see Free State Project activists focused on setting New Hampshire free and hopefully seceding. I think that would be a much better return on investment. Hopefully then New Hampshire would serve as an example of what freedom looks like for the rest of the world.

Might I interject, but the FSP goal is to bring 20,000 liberty activists together to effect change. It neither endorses, or does not endorse Government/State. Hence, why the FSP attracts a wide-swath of people. All of them bringing new directions, and new motivations to further the bar of freedom.

Very true. I was just giving my individual opinion on what I would like to see happen. Also note the statement of intent says "maximum role of government." Personally I believe there is no role for government :)

I'm a little behind on the podcasts but I'll have to check this one out asap.

On a side note, I'm seeing a small banner ad for P90X Extreme Home Fitness on this page. Funny thing is, this is the first time I've seen it promo'd here and I just started the program yesterday. It is freaking EXTREME..

Great quote from the interview. Lew Rockwell quoted Stephan Kinsella to the effect:

"You are an anarchist if you believe that it's always wrong to use violence, or the threat of violence, against the innocent."

I don't think it's ever been put better.

Absolutely. Excellent quote.

I'm waiting for global warming to kick in so NH isn't so damn cold in the winter, I need more cash, and a few other things. Hopefully I'll make it there one day.:o

Not to divert attention from the success or attractiveness of the Free State Project, but if NH isn't the right fit for you, I'd like to draw your attention to the fact that there's also a very active Free State West movement, for the most part fixated on Wyoming, that is also pretty exciting. :)

That was a great interview.

I gotta move out of the house that I rent next month, and I'm still not sure where I'm gonna go next. If there's a way for a Canadian to just pack up and move to NH in such a short timeframe, I'd seriously start considering it about now. I haven't bothered to look into the bureacratic hoops that I'd have to jump through, yet. I guess I should start...

As you can see from the last post dated December 2008 though, Free State Wyoming is not very active and few people have actually made the move and gotten active in comparison to New Hampshire.

Wyoming for the most part, does not look like Yellowstone or Jackson Hole. It's dry, flat, windy, and desolate. It has a skewed male/female demographic, I suppose due to the number energy contractors who come there to work. Yes - no income tax is a positive, but there is a lot holding it back.

Is Free State advertising anywhere else besides RPF?
