Oh no Newt in a Yamakah? How terrible.

It is amazing that defense of Islam on RPF always comes with attacking another religion. Usually Christianity - sometimes Judaism.

It is especially amazing because these are the same people that would mock the FoxNews crowd for posting a photo of Obama in Muslim garb in response to him backing the Mosque.

We seem to have a crowd here that vocally opposes all religions (but Islam).

"And I think we ought to be honest about the fact that we have a right -- and this happens all the time in America. You know, Nazis don't have the right to put up a sign next to the Holocaust Museum in Washington. We would never accept the Japanese putting up a site next to Pearl Harbor. There's no reason for us to accept a mosque next to the World Trade Center." Newt Gingrich

It's possible that being Europeans, the writers of the Bill of Rights implicitly meant by "freedom of religion" limited to Christianity, masonic deism and atheism.

Islam's political beliefs and aims make it incompatible with liberal Western democracy. Enough Muslims voting get you a theocratic dictatorship eventually.

I think it's that Ron Paul Forums know what it is like to be hated and in the minority, so they sympathize with Muslims more than others. You know, I respect the Ron Paul Conservatives/libertarians because of their openness to religions, even though some are atheist, Christians, Jews, and whatnot.

You guys are principled even when you are hated, thumbs-up and a sincere thank you from a Muslim, but more importantly an American.

I think another reason is because many neocons hate Muslims and warmongers tend to consider Islam a terrorist religion.

Most people here strongly reject this neoconservatism, and by extension, they reject the bigotry against Islam and Muslims that comes along with it, and see the state as the main problem.

“Naturally the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.”

Hermann Goering

Such trivial garbage... NEWT's statements are all bullshit to make the Liberal Republican named Mitt Romney look center and win the GOP nomination. You can't spin 15%-20% UNEMPLOYMENT... You can't spin $3+ TRILLION in added new debt in the past 2 years... You can't spin what's happening across the nation in;homelessness, foreclosures, lost of wealth, higher taxes, government oppressions, and NO JOBS. Spineless political hacks playing the field to see what works or fails in the populist America polls, aka a scrimmage game for 2012.

Frankly the GOP party are idiots to play this game... Americans aren't buying the BS.

PS: All the spin... I never heard in my life or the World Trade Centers' life, anyone state they represented "Freedom" well maybe one, and that's AFTER 9/11: Rudy Ghouliani... we know how that failed Republican did in the primaries with that gimmick.

So... what's next? Muslims not allowed to vote?

Get real. Climb out of the MSM and try to learn on your own for once.

Newt compared Muslims to Nazis.

I posted a picture that showed why he would make such a statement.

Clearly, his loyalties are towards Israel.

When you find a picture of him on a prayer rug, facing Mecca, then we'll talk.

What kind of sick society turns a crime scene like the WTC into a shrine? Definitely anti-Christian. You need to do something compassionate to become a martyr in Christianity, not just be the fodder to start another round of wars.

Does Newt even claim to be a Christian?

You have to be kidding me, you have no understanding of Muslim culture or political process whatsoever. Turkey a 99% Muslim country is a thriving democracy, Indonesia the largest Muslim population in the world is a thriving democracy, the fact is there have been 10+ women leaders of Muslim countries, contrary to what people believe. Saudi Arabia does not represent the Islamic world, Saudi Arabia's population is 25 million, that is less than 2.5 percent of the total Muslim population.

Our founding fathers very well knew of Islam, Judaism, and the religions of the world, they owned copies of the Torah, Quran, Buddhist texts, and Hindu texts.

From the words of Jefferson

lol you're arguing with someone who's education on religion and culture is limited to megathreads on stormfront

Isn't that a prerequisite to being a Republican politician?

This is correct. It is also correct that it would be wise to be wary of that 2.5 percent. The leadership here mostly comes from that 2.5 percent. All of us probably need to educate ourselves and help educate others.Maybe one day there will be a world more tolerent. If ignorance prevails , tolerance dies.

Well I am against the Mosque being built there as well but seeing as how it is private property not much I can do. But I still do not support it being built there. Making this kind of a political/religious statement at the place where over 2k Americans and others lost their lives is disgraceful.

Showing Newt in a yarmulke doesn't amount to attacking Judaism; it merely shows him to be a biased commentator with a dog in the fight.

Also, being opposed to Zionism is not the same as being opposed to Judaism.

Yes I have seen it here too, And I get tired of it. You cannot bash Christians and expect to be taken seriously when you bend over backwards to praise Islam. Some stuff here scares me really when I read it.

So Obama in Islamic garb is a sign that he is a biased commentator with a dog in this fight?

Since when is the Yarmukle the symbol for Zionism?

FYI a quick google search and he's not even wearing the Jewish version. He converted to Catholicism and he's wearing the same thing the Pope is.
