Hospital Kidnapping

My cousin had an epileptic seizure with a knife in her hand and when she went to the hospital, they did not believe her and accused her of attempted suicide. They kidnapped her and would not let her leave. She called me and I did the only thing I could think to do when a family member is kidnapped, I went to rescue her. They assaulted her and have inflicted more damage than she could ever do to herself, this was "FOR HER OWN GOOD" In order to keep you from hurting yourself, they attack you and hit your children!

It's always been a particularly tricky thing. If a hospital doesn't do this, they can get sued. If they do this, they can claim it was for the greater good even if they get sued. They are the "professionals" after all. There is no more faith that someone learns their lesson. Oddly, the vast majority of people I've known who have tried to kill themselves don't harp on and on about trying again. In particular, those who've been to the hospital seem to have learned a pretty harsh lesson and are moving on. It's usually the people around them that don't move on.

This leads to hospitals treating anyone who might have remotely harmed themselves in a totally different way. The police, likewise, are much less likely to listen to what you have to say if you are "acting crazy" and someone provides self-harm as a rationale. Having your sanity called into question by anyone the authorities are likely to believe can ruin the rest of your life. Whether it's true or not is entirely irrelevant.

LOL. Another one of these "the world would be a better place if everybody smoked weed" tards.

He probably heard the news while blown and thought it over a couple times and finally came to his moment of cannabis induced clarity where he thought to himself, "Fuck. This is fucked up. I gotta rescue her!" on some heroic bullshit. Now she's locked up in a mental facility, a little boy is traumatized, and he got his ass whooped on his own camera. How did he make things any better? It may be wrong for the hospital to not release her, but how is breaking this girl out a good idea? Shoulda thought this through.

Edit: And is this guy really her LEGAL guardian? If I had my suspicions, I probably wouldn't have handed her over to him either.
