Remember the doubters who attacked Rand for not criticizing the war on drugs? Now that he's taken this risk, they better support him... we ALL need to do our utmost for Rand now, they are throwing anything and everything at him.

WHAT DO YOU THINK?
Do you agree with Rand Paul that little or no federal funding should go toward state and local drug enforcement?

Conway, a Democrat, is now seizing on Paul's comments.

"What he needs to do is get off Fox News and get in his car and go to eastern Kentucky and learn about the problems with marijuana, the problems with meth," Conway said. "We have county judges in eastern Kentucky that will tell you that we've lost a whole generation to drugs. He just doesn't get it."

Paul's campaign has not yet responded to Conway.

The War on Drugs is a waste and everyone not benefiting from it knows that.

The War on Drugs has brought us nothing but over $1,000,000,000,000 (trillion) wasted, 10,000 more homicides every year, mexican drug cartels that kill thousands of innocent people in mexico every year, and less freedom for Americans.

Wake up America!

This is why libertarian Republicans can mop the floor with democrats - we put them in the position of arguing against personal freedom and that is going to divide their party.

They don't really care. Democrats don't give a fuck that Jack Conway is a warmonger prohibitionist puritan, and that Rand Paul is much better on foreign policy and drugs. But for the leftists, he is Satan. It's R vs. D for them.

Well, Rand doesn't exactly talk about his opinion on the drug war very often, since he has to win in a conservative state. If he was able to do so, he'd have more support from democrats. I am honestly not even sure of his position regarding cannabis legalization..I thought i read that he was for medical marijuana, but i am not sure.

If Conway thinks we're losing whole generations to drugs, why does he support the Federal government? They and the companies they collude with have sold & distributed more drugs than anybody.

He believes it's best left to the states. The article mischaracterizes Rand's position which is beginning to be a common practice.

Nice article, lol. They eradicated 2 billion dollars worth of marijuana to ease the drug problems caused by poor economic conditions. The lady selling legal drugs is mad Rand won't spend more of other peoples money locking up her competition for doing what she is doing. Nice. Does anybody actually read this shit without laughing?

If the choices on drug prohibitions go to the states, weed may be decriminalized everywhere on fairly short order.

I'm a pharmacy owner, and I think I should be able to sell anything to anybody at anytime... so should anyone else. The angle they seemed to take was that she felt the federal funds helped prevent break-ins.... which is idiotic. I've been broken into 6 times in the past 12 months, and have never seen anything more than a county sheriff.
