Blago Jury has 120 PAGES OF JURY INSTRUCTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jurors who have spent the last 11 days deliberating in the corruption trial of former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich have been able to listen to more than 100 excerpts of wiretap tapes, look through any notes they took during testimony and refer to some 120 pages of jury instructions.

He might, because OJ was innocent, too:

120 pages?! They should nullify for that alone!

O.J. Simpson: Guilty, But Not of Murder?
http://www.lewrockwell.com/blog/lewr...ves/58743.html

I saw when Rockwell put that up, and I believe it. "If it does not fit, you must acquit!"

My dear departed dad (an attorney) said that OJ was one of the few people who ever got a fair trial, because he had the money to afford one.

So after his shenanigans in LV, the judge thought she'd "make things right" and basically sentence him to life. OJ may be a Narcissistic POS, and guilty of many crimes, but he was railroaded. It's how the state gets such long prison sentences. They pile on the charges like they're going out of style.

Pathetic, isn't it. A legal scholar could spend a year analyzing the 120 pages of instructions. Frankly, anyone with jury instructions this long should be an automatic not guilty verdict.

I think OJ is going to win his appeal in Nevada. Get ready for ANOTHER O.J. trial!

Agreed! There should be more jury nullification in any case! MUCH more!

And he just might!

"Because of that, there should have been a heightened sense of responsibility to make sure that you get 12 people who are going to judge what happened here in Nevada strictly by what happened here in Nevada," Galanter told the three-justice panel. From jury selection to jury instructions, he argued, that didn't happen.

"This was not a search for truth, but became a search for redemption," Galanter said.
[...]
n Friday, Clark County Dist. Atty. David Roger tried to bat down a number of Galanter's arguments, saying Glass had been tough on both sides during the trial, not just the defense, and that the jury instructions she approved were fair. Galanter said the instructions should have included the option of convicting Simpson on a lesser kidnapping charge and should have allowed the jury to consider one of his team's chief arguments: that Simpson was merely trying to retrieve items stolen from him.

"That's not consistent with Nevada law," Roger said.

"It is in California," said Justice Nancy M. Saitta.

"Well, that's why we're here in Nevada, not California," Roger said.

The justices questioned both sides extensively on the selection of the jury, which had no African American members. Simpson's team zeroed in on two potential black jurors, Nos. 177 and 209, whom prosecutors successfully kept off the panel.

the problem lies in how juries are selected, with bias to government employees, union members and others who get paid anyway.
juries should be paid decently, $100-$150 per day; and government agencies not allowed to pay employees to serve on juries.

The jury was straight-up rigged in OJ's Nevada trial. You can't kick all the blacks off a jury these days when you have a black defendant.

Even worse, in my opinion, the judge seated jurors who thought OJ was a murderer from a previous case, when in fact, OJ was innocent of those charges.

What do you think about the idea of professional jurors? I kind of like the idea.

Blago pussed out and lost me when he decided not to take the stand. An innocent man would have gotten up there and defended himself under oath.

When the government has a really weak case, it is often a good idea not to take the stand. That's what Robert Altman did.

He never tried to sell the Senate seat. I've seen no evidence that he did this, only claims by the prosecutors.

Sure if you are guilty or unable of convincing the jury of your innocence. And let's not forget the guy has spent the last year proclaming his innocence and propagandizing every chance he could.......at least while he wasn't under oath that is......

The government has to prove you are guilty.
