So, the winner spends $20M of her own money.

Peter Schiff spends $1M?

But McMahon, who spent more than $20 million of her own money on the primary race, largely ignored his re-entry. She now faces Democratic Attorney General Richard Blumenthal in November.

Granted, 49% vs 23%, Schiff gets more votes per buck, but how much money does Schiff, his dad, Lebed, and all those gold sellers have?

Isn't it pretty obvious that it's all about money? Why do people expect to win without at least matching funds? (or did I miss an exception?)

It's all about celebrity personalities. McMahon will be to Connecticut what Ahnold Schwartzenegggeeageaer (sp?) was to California. The only solace I have is that people get the government they deserve, and 49% of the people of Connecticut deserve McMahon. I hope they eat the whole turd-sandwich (liberty lovers in Connecticut excluded, of course).
